  1. Jesus sets the tone.

 

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. - Matthew 28:18

 

  1. Jesus hands out the mission.

 

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. - Matthew 28:19–20a

 

  1. The mission comes with a promise.

 

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:20b

 

 

 

Points to Ponder

 

  1. Jesus used “behold” to grab his listeners’ attention. What are some words that are used today to grab the attention of listeners?

 

  1. What are some methods or situations you have seen where evangelism was done well? Poorly?

 

  1. How would you finish this sentence: “I was stuck in this situation and God helped me by…”?

 

  1. What part of evangelism do you feel least prepared to handle? What part seems the easiest?
