Text:  2 Corinthians 9:8-11

Our Wildly Generous Father Raises                                   Wildly Generous Children

Place: Christ the Rock, Hutto, TX

Date: Sunday - November 10, 2024

  1. Our Father in heaven is the best of everything.

However, Satan tempts us to see our Father as the opposite of what he really is.

This works because of guilt

  1. So, we constantly need to remember what Jesus has revealed to us about our Father.

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
    their righteousness endures forever.”

2 Corinthians 9:8-9

  1. Count them! Four times Paul used a form of the word all, every.

Our Father has been so generous towards us, so that we might be generous towards others.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. - 2 Corinthians 9:10-11

  1. God’s lavish blessings to us as well as our generous response is all his work.

God’s wild generosity inspires us also to be wildly generous with all he has given to us.

Our wildly generous Father raises wildly generous children.
