Scripture Lesson: Luke 24:1-8

Fab Five For 2025

Never Forget!

Week #5

  1. Remember Easter

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, - 2 Timothy 2:8

  1. Remember we are called to suffer for the Gospel.

for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. – 2 Timothy 2:9-10

  1. We are bound to Christ.

Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; - 2 Timothy 2:11-12

  1. Christ’s faithfulness is not dependent on our faithfulness.

if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. – 2 Timothy 2:13-14

Points To Ponder

  1. How often do you think about Easter? Why do you think this is?

  1. Can you think of a time that you have suffered for the gospel?

  1. Have you ever viewed suffering as punishment?
