About

Christ the Rock Church is a growing church in Round Rock, TX.  Starting with a handful of people in 2005, Christ the Rock has grown significantly.  Christ the Rock strives to be a ”church for unchurched people.” That means that we’re all about meeting people where they’re at. This attitude toward church actually goes all the way back to the earliest days of Christianity. Paul, the apostle, talks about it numerous times, for instance, in his first letter to the Corinthians (9:19-23, 10:31-33, and 14:24-25). It’s for this reason that on Sunday mornings we provide worship in “a casual atmosphere.”

At the same time, at Christ the Rock we’re definitely “serious about faith.” The Bible’s message is unchanging, and it speaks to the true needs of today’s people. Sin, death, guilt, shame, hurt, sorrow, anxiety, grief, discouragement and doubt are issues that are faced by people in our world every day. And these issues, as well as many more, are all addressed by our holy and loving Creator in the Bible. God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be the solution to the sin that created all these problems in the first place. At Christ the Rock, our main mission is to lead people to walk with Jesus Christ. Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life” (John 14:6, NIV).

Christ the Rock is in fellowship with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The WELS, established in 1850, is a Biblically-conservative church body with a passion for children and outreach. With more than 1,200 congregations and 400,000 church members, the WELS is the third largest Lutheran church in the U.S. The WELS’ passion for children and outreach has given it a strong history in education and missions. The church body’s congregations support 370 elementary schools, 313 early education programs and 23 high schools, as well as more than 100 missionaries and more than 200 national workers sharing the gospel worldwide.
